Jo Hawley

Jo Hawley, Director of UK Trade & Investment, British Consulate-General Hong Kong
Jo Hawley, has been Director of Trade and Investment in the British Consulate-General in Hong Kong since April 2014. Jo has worked for the British government since graduating from Durham University where she read Modern European Languages. During her career, she has worked in the UK Representation to the European Union, leading negotiations on Education and Cultural Policy during the UK’s Presidency of the EU; was Private Secretary to a Minister of State and has lead the restructure of a large Children’s Services Organisation in London. Directly before arriving in Hong Kong, Jo worked in the Cabinet Office on Civil Service Reform.

In her spare time, Jo enjoys running, practising Cantonese and learning to sail.
