Stuart Thomson

Stuart Thomson is a public affairs and communications consultant with leading law firm Bircham Dyson Bell. He advises clients on political and media engagement, reputation management and crisis communications.

He is the author of books including ‘New Activism and the Corporate Response’ and ‘Public Affairs in Practice’. His latest ‘Public Affairs: A Global Perspective’ is coming soon.

Stuart’s reputation has seen him appear on the BBC, Sky News, Bloomberg Radio and TRT World as well as being quoted in number of newspapers across Europe. He has judged for the PR Week and Public Affairs News awards and was shortlisted for the Institute of Directors (IoD) / Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Director of the Year in 2014. Stuart delivers public affairs training for the CIPR and blogs regularly including for leading news publisher, the Huffington Post.

Stuart is an honorary research fellow in the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Aberdeen, and amongst it all finds time to tweet @redpolitics
