Matt Woods has been the Deputy Consul-General and Head of UK Trade and Investment in Rio de Janeiro since April 2013.
Matt graduated in Modern History at Oxford University. He began his career at Deloitte Consulting in London, and also spent some time in the French private sector. He joined the public sector in 2005, working in the British Home Office and then the French Prime Minister’s Office. After a short time at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, he joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
