Celebrating a Great Week of Success: UK Brands Taking on the World

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Retail

UKTI is the world’s leading trade promotion organisation, providing support, advice and services to UK companies wanting to take their brand to the world.

Because of this work, every day we hear from UK companies on how the work we have done helped their business and is driving sales for them. More and more we are capturing these thoughts on YouTube, through our Twitter feed @UKTIRetail, in success stories on Opentoexport.com and here on the UKTI blog.

This week in the Retail Team, we are delighted to see Fortnum and Mason, House of Fraser, Bremont, The Travel Wrap Company and Christina Sabaiduc all talking about how UKTI’s support is helping them to grow their international sales.

The Great Weeks is a programme of global trade missions for UK companies in the retail, luxury, food and drink and creative industry sectors. The next GREAT Week is in Malaysia on 8-12 September 2014. Find out more at www.greatweeks.co.uk

In other recent news, UKTI sponsored and announced the Retailer of the Year at The RLI Connect Awards 2014. Congratulations to two great UK retailers; Boux Avenue as the winner and Blue Inc. as for winning the highly commended award.

The UK is a fantastic global shopping destination and this week, with UKTI help, Aquascutum opened their new London store in Jermyn Street. Elsewhere in the capital, Netherlands retailer Hema opened their inaugural store in Victoria.

It’s been a great week for UK retail. If you want to hear more about how UKTI are helping retailers and brands and how we can assist your business, join us @UKTIRetail.
