ExploreExport successfully launched in the North East yesterday - with 75 Commercial Officers from around the globe joining together to help start Export Week. It’s a fantastic buzz to get that number of people all focused on helping business to succeed.
This also coincided with the launch of a new national 'Exporting is GREAT' campaign , for which North East firm Cundalls is a headline company. Carole O' Neil , Cundall’s Director (see Carole, right, at yesterday's launch) is featured in the adverts and has been magnificent in supporting UKTI.
The Exporting is GREAT campaign will reach almost three million individuals and 700,000 businesses with more than four employees, giving them a very specific call to action: to call UKTI to find out more about exporting. It is intended to generate over 3,000 appointments with UKTI International Trade Advisers, giving small businesses direct access to expert advice, support and finance to help them export. Meanwhile Export week continues with various events around the region, concluding on Friday with a conference on 'Inspiring Females' and the Women Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
