Yesterday began with a FT/HSBC breakfast at 7.30am and finished with a McKinsey's reception at midnight. In between, it's been non-stop talking, card exchanging, listening. One CEO said to me that Davos had saved him three weeks' travelling.
But it is not just networking. You hear and understand different perspectives. I had in-depth discussions on banking regulation with Gulf Arabs, Chinese, African, European and American Chairmen/CEOs. If anything persuaded me of the need for Diplomacy with a capital D, that did.
A couple of hours of bilateral meetings and a session with US hedge fund managers, then talking to the Editor of The Economist about their Innovation awards which UK Trade & Investment sponsors and which we both find inspiring.
Best of all the Duke of York's reception - a great gathering of inward investors, British captains of industry and political leaders.
Then a few hours sleep before a 7.15am breakfast start today. More later.
